Certification by Discipline

Alpine

Level I, II, III

Three certification levels. The most popular discipline in NRM, with assessments and clinics throughout the season.

Snowboard

Level I, II, III

Three certification levels with prep clinics strongly encouraged before assessment. Three-day assessment format.

Telemark

Level I, II, III

Telemark skiing certification with modular assessment model. Unified regional exams available at Snowbird, UT.

Cross Country

Level I, II, III

Nordic skiing certification covering classic and skating technique. Clinics at Lookout Pass and other venues.

Adaptive

Level I, II, III

Requires Alpine Level I or Snowboard Level I prior to attending. Focus on sit-ski, visual impairment, and cognitive disability instruction.

Specialty Certificates

Children's Specialist

CS1 and CS2 assessment-based certificates. CS1 requires completion of online course 48 hours prior to on-snow clinic.

Freestyle Specialist

Three levels (FS1, FS2, FS3). Run by the Iron Team. ProPark is the second-largest NRM event annually.

Senior Teaching

Focuses on how older adults move, learn, and engage in the sport. Requires strong skiing fundamentals.
